Camidoc is a Limited Company and operates as a non- profit making organisation, with any surpluses arising being returnable to the PCT. This has allowed us to agree mutual trading status with HMRC, which helps Camidoc to offer excellent services representing good value for money.
Our clinicians are all local GPs working in the areas which Camidoc serves : Camden, Hackney, Harringey, Islington. By employing experienced, local GPs and offering telephone advice, appointments and home visits as required, the patients receive the best and most appropriate medical care and the strain on other services in the NHS economy : A& E departments, ambulance services, NHS direct is minimised.

We provide a range of other services to our local PCTs. For many years we have provided a 24 hour District Nurse Messaging Service to patients in Camden and Islington and this has recently been extended to Hackney and the City of London.
We have also recently begun to provide urgent dental triage to patients in Camden, Haringey and Islington during the out of hours period. This is a clinical assessment service which can then refer patients to a dentist for urgent treatment if required.
Camidoc is working very closely with all four of our local PCTs to develop a range of urgent care services that can meet the needs of patients without them needing to travel to an emergency department.
